Description:
“Eephus” is a nostalgic love letter to small-town baseball, capturing the final game of a New England amateur league before their beloved field is lost to redevelopment. Set in the 1990s, the film follows the Adler’s Paint baseball team, led by Ed Mortainian, as they prepare to take on their longtime rivals, the Riverdogs, in a farewell match that carries more weight than just the final score.

With a blend of humor, melancholy, and authenticity, director Carson Lund crafts a poignant reflection on the passage of time, the camaraderie of the game, and the deep roots of local traditions. Featuring a cast of seasoned character actors and real-life ballplayers, “Eephus” delivers a heartfelt tribute to America’s pastime, pitching slowballs of quiet wisdom and nostalgia.
