Location:

115 Eastern Ave.
St. Johnsbury, VT

Instructor: Christine Nockels

Fairy houses, doll houses, toy castles and block building; children are naturally drawn towards building miniature dwellings in dynamic play.

In this class, we will discover what it is that makes an environment. What different shapes do we see around us every day and what different shapes could we use to create structures? What kind of materials do we need? How can we explore texture and color in our spaces?

Children will be presented with a wide variety of materials, natural and man made, and encouraged to think of a place they want to build where the only limits are their imaginations. The adult instructor will be there to assist with materials, but the kids are encouraged to work as independently as possible, to use their imaginations and to help build fine motor skills.

Class fee: $20 (10% discount for Catamount Arts members). Catamount Arts is committed to offering quality arts experiences for all students, regardless of ability to pay; please call Anne at 802-748-2600 ext. 109 for information about scholarship funds. Class size limited to 8 students.
