Students will explore the art of needle felting with sheep’s wool through the creation of a flat tapestry depicting a natural habitat of choice – river, meadow, pond or forest. Multiple ideas will be provided with room left for your child’s imagination to go creatively wild.

Dana Karuza (she/her) has worked as a teaching and resident artist for a variety of non-profits and independent schools in the area, including Catamount Arts, Wonder and Wisdom and VSA VT. Currently, Dana spends much of her time in Brownington as the Associate Director of Education at the Old Stone House Museum. During the museum’s closed season she enjoys giving back to her community in St Johnsbury and is thrilled to be teaching at Catamount Arts this winter. She has taught a variety of grade levels and homeschoolers in media including fiber arts, mosaic, puppetry and paper arts. Dana enjoys teaching the creative process through lively discussions, critiques and open ended creative exploration.
